Combining elements from free improvisation, drone, and black metal, Attila Csihar, Simen Sjølie, and Kim Reenskaug create a magnetic fusion that delves into a desolate realm of rugged nature and vast, icy landscapes. Csihar, renowned for his work with Mayhem and Sunn O))), delivers deep and haunting vocals, reciting a poem by the Norwegian poet Tor Ulven. Sjølie (from Beauty Center and Oh Yeah Tiger) explores the sonic possibilities of the acoustic bass drone through low tunings and extended techniques. Reenskaug (from Wow Sailor) adds layers of earthy percussion and live sampling, weaving a textured tapestry that echoes the improvisational spirit in gritty manifestations. "Along the Leaf-Nerves" marks the trio's debut release.
