Press

During three days in June 2021, reed players Klaus Ellerhusen Holm and Andreas Røysum recorded in three different locations in Trondheim: Vår Frues Church, Øra Studios and Bymarka. This was done in close collaboration with sound wizard Kyrre Laastad. The general idea for the recording was to present the same material in three completely different acoustic settings.

The music explores phenomena such as acoustic space, sound in motion and the perception of depth and dimensions in sound. Klaus and Andreas explore these musical territories using interference, multiphonics, tonal structures and micro tonality. The duo might also hint back to their mutual influences from American minimalism, AACM, the cutting edge musical developments in 90s Berlin as well as their collaboration in Nakama. Nevertheless – they still always sound like themselves.
