Artist bio
The group consists of four distinguished musicians and improvisers.
Utku Tavil, based on and around the axis of Turin, Berlin and Oslo, is a drummer, electronic musician and sound person, working usually within the loud and improvised music scenarios. Using various audio routings and feedback systems for its electronic sounds, Tavil is touring extensively, with projects such as BEEATSZ, Turbohaler, WOW, WRNGDNG, BNSU and previously SUTT, as well as many ad-hoc formations within the field of noise and improvised music. Tavil is devoted to the DIY ethics and culture and is one of the founding members of Multiversal, an itinerant condensed concert and performance series for hard listening non music and presumptuous forms.
Magnus Skavhaug Nergaard is a performing musician based in Oslo since 2009. He mainly plays improvised music with electric- and double bass and has lately been working more and more as a mixing engineer. His main projects are Monkey Plot, ICH BIN N!NTENDO, Torg and Silicone. In Juxtaposition Magnus is incorporating analog and digital electronics into his performance to manipulate the sound of the electric bass, to create feedback loops, sinewaves and to change between sound sources.
Natali Abrahamsen Garner is a Norwegian vocalist, based in Oslo. Natali works with the voice as a starting point for new sounds, exploring the instruments range of expression. Her main band projects are Propan, Antler, Silicone and Nåtiden.
Agnes Hvizdalek is an improvising musician with her voice as the main instrument. Originating from Vienna’s experimental music scene, she has been based in Oslo since 2008. From an early age, she has dedicated her life to new music. Her collaborations range from underground noise projects, jazz and contemporary classical music to experimental pop, dance and electronic music.
